Summary of Horseshoe Valley, Ontario (top) and Toney River, Nova Scotia (bottom)
The Ontario weather station precipitation gauge is heated and measures the liquid water.
Typically you multiply the melt water by a factor of 10 or more to get the depth of snow.
The Nova Scotia station wind directions are not being reported correctly. Its precipitation gauge is not heated. After a period of below freezing temperatures, snow which has accumulated in the gauge will melt when temperatures rise and there will be a false indicator of rain occurring.
